Specifications
Members made of plate or bar stock must have flanges and webs linked on one side of the webs by continuous welding, and they must meet the physical requirements of ASTM A570 (Grade 50) or a similar standard, or have a minimum yield strength of 50,000 psi (345 MPa).
Members created using the cold forming technique must meet the requirements of ASTM A570 (Grade 50) or an equivalent specification, or have a minimum yield strength of 50,000 PSI (345 MPa).
Members made from structural forms that were hot-rolled must meet the physical requirements of ASTM A572 (Grade 36) or a similar standard, or have a minimum yield strength of 36,000 psi (250 MPa).
Angle bracings and rods must adhere to ASTM A36 or an equivalent physical specification.

Because the building components are created off site while the foundations are prepared on the construction site, pre engineered buildings can be constructed quickly.
